Calling all Dewey-loving artists!

Ok, probably someone is way ahead of me and is all up on this, and if I were at all artistic I'd do it myself, but could someone design a RIP Dewey button? That we could all put on our blogs, kind of like hockey players put on their helmets for a teammate who dies? And now I'm thinking of all the times Dewey asked for buttons for the Read-a-thon, or Weekly Geeks, or one of her other zillion projects, and I'm sad all over again. But I think she'd like the idea of being present in this place full of people who loved her.

You're brilliant, raych! I was racking my brain with something to do, and I think this would be perfect! If you don't get a response, let me know and I'll post something like this on me own blog, too.

Great idea! I added a note saying "in appreciation and remembrance of Dewey" above the Weekly Geeks button in my blog sidebar, but this is a better idea.

Unfortunately, I have no talent in this area, so I can't volunteer to make the button.

That's a great idea, Raych. I'm not great at these things, but I could play around with it.

I would be happy to do it, if you'd like. I made a bunch of Deweys weekly geeks buttons and would be more than happy to work on a couple for this. Just e-mail me if you are interested. wordblog(at)optonline(dot)net

Oh, look, a volunteer! Cool! I'm not a very good button-maker, but I think this is a fabulous idea.

Great idea Raych. There has been a discussion started over at the Book Blogs Ning so everybody is kept in the loop. The link:

Man, I'm still stunned. Dewey was one of my regular reads and it seems so sudden and strange.

I made one, let me know if it is good enough. I just posted it on my B&b ex libris blog. Check it out and let me know. I made two, it is the same one but with different colours to choose from.

Let me know if you had something else in mind, I'd love to work with you one it.
